If you want to give scuba a try, or have a family member or friend you know would, call us. The lesson in the pool will introduce you to the exciting underwater world of scuba. This scuba experience is scheduled by private appointment. If you are already a certified diver and are bringing a friend, you are welcome to jump in the pool dive to share your skills. After the pool dive, you'll talk with your instructor about Houston Scuba Academy's scuba program.
This convenient program gives you the scheduling freedom to match your busy lifestyle. You and your instructor set up your 3 sessions in the pool and 1 session in the classroom whenever your schedule allows. Each session lasts 3 hours. The Theory portion of this class is the home study video or DVD. In the Private Class, your instructor is able to concentrate specifically on your individual needs. The group open water class takes one weekend at a local site. Other arrangements may be made to do the Open Water class privately or on a Houston Scuba Academy trip.
The Weekend class meets on two Saturdays for daylong sessions split between the classroom and pool and one Sunday afternoon. You will also complete the home study workbook and DVD. This class is fast moving and intense. The Open Water class takes one weekend at a local dive site.
This class meets two evenings each week for three weeks. These classes are scheduled on either Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays and include two classroom sessions, four pool sessions and the home study DVD. The Open Water class takes one weekend at a local lake.
Complete the PADI eLearning at your convenience and then complete your Pool Training and Open Water Certification Dives with Houston Scuba Academy. The Pool Training is scheduled on an individual basis and takes one classroom and three pool sessions. Each session is scheduled for 3 hours. The Open Water classes are completed with a group class or can be completed through our referral program.
